ELIMINATION OF CHILD LABOR

Being of the United States, the idea of child labor seemed relatively far from our view. However, the more we researched, the more we found out that the everyday items we use are a result of child labor. Initially we thought, let’s just create a project to spread awareness with the main goal being eliminating child labor. The more we researched, the more we found that it is not that simple.

For our project, we created a video that highlighted products that use child labor and more importantly the idea of why children need to go into labor in the first place. To highlight the theme of child labor, we drew images on a whiteboard and filmed it to create an engaging video that can also be relatable to the audience. This video was shown to our entire school.
